Sabina what’s the matter? Why do you look so sad?
Sabina:
Meena, what is the use of my degree? I’ve gone from pillar to post and I still
don’t have a job.

please give us some money. We haven’t eaten for the last 2 days. My brother
here is sick. Please ma’am at least 2 rupees.

Mother [weeping bitterly]
Neighbour:
Why? what’s the problem?
Mother:
My daughter, my loving daughter is no more. We loved her so much. We got her
married last year, but to her bad luck she became the victim of dowry
harassment. That no-good son in law has no proper work and every time he
harassed our baby to get money. Not being able to bear it anymore, she
committed suicide.

CORRUPTION
STRIKES AND LOCKOUTS:[ a group of protestors with placards shouting slogans “we
want water” “give us good roads” Mr. Minister we want light.]
THEFTS
AND MURDERS: A scene in the house, the
husband is reading the news paper and the wife is cleaning up. A knock at the
door. The wife opens the door. Two masked men enter, tie up the wife and stab
the struggling husband[cardboard knife]
Commentator:
Does this now look like a liberated Goa ? Are
these situations conducive to live together as brothers and sisters, as one big
family of God?
Hymn….

Bible
reading: Lk: 4:18-19
Petitions:
1. Lord, we pray that
all the people in our country may live together in peace and harmony without
giving any consideration as to who we are, what we are and where we are.
2. Heavenly Father, we
pray that the children of today may develop a good sense of discipline and duty
to shoulder the responsibilities when they become the future pillars of our
state.
3. Abba, our father, we
pray that the leaders of our state may have concern for others and dedicate
their lives for the welfare of the people. May they undertake all decisions
keeping in mind the needs of the beautiful state of ours and it’s people.
4. God, our father, we
pray for all the sick and suffering. May they find comfort in prayer. Also we
pray for those tempted by worldly pleasures, strange teaching and evil things.
That they may have faith in God and His teachings.
5. Loving father, we
pray that our hearts may be opened up to the needy so that they too can live a
happy life like us. Teach us that charity can bring us closer to each other
as brothers and sisters.
Hymn…..Make
me a channel of your peace…or Lord we pray for golden peace………
