Birth day Prayer 13
Introduction
before the exposition
Dear
Sisters we have double reasons to rejoice and celebrate as we join with the
church in prayer and thanksgiving, on this solemn day of the Nativity of Jesus.
We remember Mary who Brought Jesus to us and shepherds who worshiped, and the
angels who sang the mighty deeds of God. Secondly today our hearts over-whelm
with joy as we remember Mr ..........................and Mrs.....................
who brought our dear Sr. Rita into this world. One of the most
remarkable things that can ever happen to us is to witness the birth of another
human being. It truely is a miracle - for out of almost nothing comes a
beautiful baby, complete with it's own unique features and characteristics.Today is the most beautiful and important day of the
year for our dear Sr. Rita for we celebrate her gift of life for which we have
come as a family into the loving presence of Jesus to thank, praise and rejoice with our dear sister. Now let us
welcome our dear Jesus into our midst.
Exposition
Bhajan- Aarathi
Introduction
Jesus our divine Lord, we adore you, we worship you
and we praise you. Lord Jesus, we come before you today to render to you our
humble adoration, we adore your father and the Holy Spirit who are
substancially united with you in this living and life giving bread. Loving
Jesus we have come around your altar with hearts full of love and gratitude to
thank you for the gift of each one of us especially for the precious gift of
our dear Sr. Rita. Placing our sister and every new born child in the hands of
Jesus let us sing a hymn.
Hymn-
Prayer
Yes dear sister, when you came to
this world, you were like a empty plate. But Jesus had his own plan for your
life. So he made the arrangements through various people. By the grace of God,
you came to this world through your parents who represent Diya(Diya), and like
the oil in the lamp your family members, near and dear ones helped your parents
to bring you up with love, care and affection(oil). Like a wick which helps a
lamp to burn, you were guided, corrected, moulded and shaped to be a person you
are now, by your surroundings, teachers and sisters of our congregation(wick),
then as you walked the life there were many ups and downs in your life those
were the times you were supported, consoled, comforted and healed by many who
represent leaves(leaves), many came in your life adding colours and making your
life more meaningful and cheerful as friends and well wishers like the
colourful and sweet fragrant flowers(flowers). Now your plate is no more empty.
It is filled with variety of people whom you remember on this day with grateful
heart. As a sign of gratitude I invite you dear sister to make your own prayer
of thanksgiving to Jesus.
My
Own Birthday Prayer
I Thank you, Jesus, for giving me another year of
life. You call
me, “ME” and in every passing instant I would not exist, except by your grace.
Thank you for thinking of me, placing me in your great world, in the company of
good and loving people. Thank you for my parents, my friends and relatives, my sisters
in my congregation and all those who have loved and taught me how to love.
Bless all those who have cared for my well-being and me, all those who have
taught me to love life and all those who remember me on this auspicious day.
Thank you for the unique gift you have given me, for my health and strength,
senses and memory, for the power to love and to understand. Thank you for the
past years of my life and the coming moments that you have kept in store for
me. All the beauty I have seen, things I had been able to do and the love I
have received and given, the gifts that you gave me even without asking
for. What more have you prepared for me
in love, my God? What marvels of your tender mercy are still hidden from my
sight? You invite me to trust in you for the future and to expect still greater
surprises from you. I look forward Lord then, to the time that still remains
for me with hope, excitement and with peace. And be with me Lord as I continue
to follow your footprints as your child.
Hymn
When
we think about somebodies birthday, we celebrate all that they are, and all
that they are about to be. This is a great time for us to pray for our dear
sister. Our response shall be
Suni: We thank you Jesus for the very person of our dear Sr. Rita and for
helping her to climb high mountains, walk on thorny paths, sail on the raging
seas and take a ride on dangerous highways. May this day of joy be
filled with Lovely Light of Love, Cool Colours of Care, Sweet Sounds of Smiles,
Mesmerising Music of Mind & Heavenly happiness of heart for this.

Morning Prayer
Opening Prayer
Loving Father, the master of the universe, we
have awakened with whisper of joy, peace and happiness. We look up to you to
praise and thank you for this beautiful dawn. The sky shines with vibrant shade
of colours, the newly opened petals and the pearls of dew on every blade of
grass praise you. We your loving and little children have gathered in your
house to raise our hearts and minds in gratitude and praise for the precious
gift of our beloved Sr. Rita through whom your tender love, beauty, care,
concern and excellent guidance we experience. We also thank you Father for her
generous heart as she has accepted your cal to be our animator to guide us in
your ways. Let us now experience the presence of the divine within, as we sing
a bhajan –
Instead
of the psalm given let us make our own Psalm of prayer for our dear Sr. Rita.
Special
person is specially chosen by God that’s why we say Lord we thank you for the
very gift of Sister Rita as our animator. Dear Sister you are the selected one
whom God has brought in a special way with all your uniqueness and gifts. He
has created you with differences so that you will enjoy and share the beauty of
your difference with everyone.
Gratitude is expressing profound thanks
fullness for all that God has given. Gratitude is not a human achievement, it’s
a divine treasure granted to us by the inner guide within us, the absolute
supreme. We are particularly grateful to God the omnipotent for the miracle of
His love for each one of us very especially for the person of Sr. Rita.
Person is gift that is given to us,
packed with suspense, surprise and sentiments. Our hearts beat with genuine
love and deep gratitude for the person of sister. The river as it enters the ocean
is lost in it. For once it enters the ocean, it can never be recognized. For
its colour and taste are now the colour and taste of the ocean. The person lost
in god’s love becomes, one with god, completely to be his forever, never more
to be separated from Him. Yes dear Sister you have journeyed along with the
lord in the process of becoming in him. We thank you for all the pains you have
taken to beget new life by forming and shaping the hearts of many. We pray with
our folded and grateful hearts to our Abba to bless you that you may continue to shine like star and experience His
unconditional love in all your undertakings especially as the animator of our
community as we sing the hymn.
